Q: What is a “Stock Under Promotion?”
A: A stock whose company is paying for advertising is said to be “Under Promotion.” In general, promoted stocks are from young, small companies that can not afford expensive advertising on TV or other outlets. But, I have occasionally seen big companies like Microsoft use promoters as well.

Q: Why its important to know what stocks are under promotion?
A: Two reasons - first, advertising often pays off so you will know why the high volume and momo generally a bullish signs. Second, to avoid scams as much as possible and unfortunately, companies can abuse stock promotion for their own benefit. Knowledge is power.

Q: How do your scans work?
A: We use a freely available stock screener for the scans. Our scans are all bullish and they are all very simple and basic. There is no voodoo or magic formulas, just looking for stocks whose pps (price per share) is on the rise. The scans are very basic in nature that they usually turn up hundreds of stocks. Currently, the list is re-filtered again for dollar volume which makes for much smaller lists with what are hopefully stronger candidates.

Q: What is the difference in BULL vs. MOMO scans?
A: BULL scans look at price only. MOMO scans use the momentum indicator in addition to the price.
